INTRODUCING THE DATS WHEELIE BIN

The DATS Wheelie Bin is a new product that complements DATS’ range of different size steel skip bins. Wheelie Bins are easy to manoeuvre 240 litre light plastic containers mounted on two large diameter soft plastic wheels. They are ideal for removing wastes during internal renovations and building fit-outs, particularly in properties with tiled, polished timber or carpeted floors.
The primary benefits of the Wheelie Bins service are their convenient small size, light weight, manoeuvrability and small footprint which makes them easy to move around and place in the work area, as well as avoiding damage to floor coverings.
In multi-storey buildings Wheelie Bins can be carried between floors by the lift without any risk of causing damage. The contents of the Wheelie Bin can be emptied into a standard steel skip bin placed in the basement or outside the building for collection later. The Wheelie Bin can be used again in the work area.
DATS Wheelie Bins are ideal for building renovations and fit-outs. They have large diameter plastic wheels which make them easy to wheel around and safe to use on finished floor surfaces.
Wheelie Bins are delivered by the DATS trucks used to deliver standard size skip bins and generally would be delivered at the same time as other bins. The DATS Wheelie Bins have a distinctive red body and blue lid and boldly carry the DATS logo to distinguish them from other types of wheelie bin.
DATS Wheelie Bins can also be used for recycling. Customers can sort wastes in recycling categories directly into wheelie bins in the work area and, when they are ready, they can book a collection for the appropriate waste categories. DATS is committed to recycling as much as possible of the waste they collect.

DATS SKIP BAGS: CONVENIENCE AT LOW COST
![]()
DATS Skip Bags are a new DATS product designed to give, householders, tradesmen, builders and others greater flexibility in managing small amounts of waste.... and to reduce their waste removal costs.
Skip Bags are similar in design to the bags used to deliver sand to construction sites. When filled they are approximately cubic in shape and can contain 0.8m³ (900x900x1000mm). Skip Bags are designed to give householders, tradesmen, builders and others greater flexibility in managing small amounts of waste.
Skip Bags offer cost benefits, flexibility and convenience. The costs of bag purchase and bag collection are less than hiring a skip bin and you can fill the bags in your own time. By comparison, the normal domestic skip bin hire period is only one week and in many areas you have to obtain council approval before you can put a skip bin on your nature strip. But DATS can help with this!

DATS JOINS GREEN BUILDING COUNCIL

DATS Environmental Services has joined the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) to become more involved with Australian thought leaders who are working to promote the practical benefits of being green.
GBCA membership will help us to provide advice to our clients on sustainable business practices and help them to obtain a GBCA Green Star rating. The GBCA is a national, not-for-profit member-based organisation which was created in 2002 to encourage the Australian property industry to become more sustainable. GBCA actively promotes the incorporation of green building initiatives into the design, construction and operation of all buildings, and operates a Green Star rating system that recognises buildings that have satisfied the GBCA criteria.
The effective management of wastes and waste recycling during the construction period and when a building is in operation, are among the many criteria reviewed when a building is being evaluated for Green Star status. GBCA members include a diverse cross-section of developers; contractors; local, state and federal governments; utilities; investors; building owners and managers; manufacturers and suppliers of professional services; and professional bodies and universities.
Membership of the GBCA demonstrates an organisation is concerned about sustainability issues and doing something to provide information about them. GBCA helps members to keep up-to-date by arranging technical forums and networking events about new advances.
