REMOVAL OF HOUSEHOLD WASTE

DATS can provide skip bins to remove all types of solid waste - but not liquids such as oil, paint or chemicals; or putrescible wastes such as food wastes. If you need advice, a friendly DATS Customer Service consultant can suggest the right size skip bin for your job, help you decide where to put it, and arrange for delivery and collection at convenient times. DATS drivers are used to putting bins in, and taking them out of tight situations. Some DATS trucks have cranes to help put the bin where it will be most convenient for you.

Generally, domestic jobs use a 2m³ to 5.5m³ size bin. The standard fee allows you to keep a bin for a full week – to give you time to fill it. Bins with a rear door access are available so big items can be placed in the bin by wheelbarrow without heavy lifting. If you need Council approval to put a skip bin on the nature strip outside your home DATS can help. DATS is familiar with Council regulations and has prior approval in some municipalities to put skip bins on the nature strip – which is public land.

DATS will take your wastes to a licensed waste sorting facility where useful materials are recovered for reuse. Only the residual non-reusable material is sent to landfill. If you have large amounts of different types of waste, you can reduce the costs of waste removal by pre-sorting your wastes into different categories for recycling. To help householders recycle, DATS has special 1m³ and 2m³ recycling pods clearly labeled and colour-coded for different categories of waste.

If you do not have anywhere to put a bin, phone for a DATS Tipper Truck. A small truck and driver will come to pick up your waste. The driver will load your waste onto the truck.

I used DATS when I was moving house. DATS made it easy for me. It was one less thing to worry about during a stressful time. I used bins while I was preparing a house for the market to remove waste from the garden clean-up and generally tidying up the place. Once the house was sold I had a bin put in a convenient place close to the house so I could easily sort and throw away ‘junk’ I didn’t want to take with me. I also had a bin at the new house. This allowed me to get rid of packaging and other rubbish that goes along with unpacking and cleaning up after a move.
