BUILDING & CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY

DATS can provide skip bins ranging in size from 2m³ to 9m³, and 10m³ and 12m³ bulk hook lift bins that can be used to remove all types of waste material from a construction site. Larger hook lift bins (15m³, 20m³ and 30m³) are available to remove light wastes (timber, plastics, paper and cardboard).

Some bins have rear-door access which enables wastes to be placed in the bin by a small forklift. And smaller bins are available to collect waste from within the construction site for transfer to a collection bin for removal. DATS fleet of different size lift and crane trucks enable DATS to deliver bins onto limited access construction sites and pick them up later to take the waste away. DATS drivers are skilled at accessing sites, and placing bins as close as possible to where they are required.

DATS can also help develop a waste management plan for a construction project both to ensure compliance with EPA regulations, and to minimise the costs of waste removal. Effective waste management planning includes separating wastes into recycling categories on-site for transfer directly to waste reprocessing facilities - instead of putting all wastes in the same bin. Substantial reductions in waste removal costs are achieved by eliminating the need to send wastes to a wastes sorting facility.

The recycling categories include clean excavated soil, (containing no vegetation [e.g. roots] or man-made material); sandstone and rock; clean bricks and concrete; metals and timber; plastics; paper and cardboard.

Chateau Constructions operates multiple sites around Sydney. Due to DATS range of different types of bin and bin sizes, and different types of delivery vehicle DATS has been able to procvide us with cost effective waste removal services regardless of site difficulties. In addition, DATS has helped us to be green by enabling us to recycle our wastes. This has made waste removal more cost efficient.
Nick Mitchinson, Construction Supervisor, Chateau Constructions Pty Ltd

We had to do a subfloor excavation on a difficult site. There was no street-front access, the site was on a busy street and there was minimal on-site space. DATS solved our waste removal problems by craning recycling pods in and out on a prearranged schedule when the street was less busy, sometimes three times a day. Because we could rely on the timing of the deliveries we were able to coordinate the work to manage labour requirements cost-effectively and keep the job on schedule. DATS also helped us reduce costs by recycling the wastes.
